Following is a response from DHS staff member, Tom Pullum:

These tables were calculated from the variables on food consumption in the IR files for these surveys. The nutrition recodes are tricky because of country-specific variations in the food categories.

Are you sure that these indicators are not in the GitHub code for the generic chapter 11 ( https://github.com/DHSProgram/DHS-Indicators-Stata/tree/mast er/Chap11_NT)? Please check.

The DHS analysis team is expanding the GitHub code as well as modifying it for DHS-8 surveys (the Tanzania survey was part of DHS-8 but the Sierra Leone survey was part of DHS-7). I hope that work will be completed in the next few months.
