Dear DHS Experts,
I am currently conducting research on Geospatial analysis using recent DHS data from various SSA countries, with the specific objective of assessing the Geospatial distribution of low birth weight in SSA.
However, I have encountered a challenge regarding the diverse geographic and projected coordinate systems employed by different countries in SSA, as each country appears to use its unique coordinate system. As such, I am reaching out to seek your expertise and guidance on the following questions:
1. Common coordinate system for SSA Countries: Is it possible or recommended to use a common coordinate system uniformly across SSA countries? I have noticed that some studies conducted in SSA utilize geospatial analysis, but the coordinate system information is often absent from the method sections of these papers.
2. Options for spatial analysis in multiple countries: In cases where a common coordinate system may not be feasible, are there alternative options or best practices for conducting spatial analysis that involve multiple countries?

Any input, suggestions, or recommended resources on this matter would be highly appreciated.

Thank you so much!
