Following is a response from DHS staff member, Tom Pullum:
You can get a list of all the malaria-related variables by opening the PR file (NGPR7BFL.dta in Stata) and entering "describe hml*", because the names for all those variables begin with "hml". I did that and I don't see any that are specifically seasonal. Most questions apply to actions by the household members at the time of the survey, such as use of a mosquito net the previous night. In general, MIS (Malaria Indicator Surveys) and other DHS surveys with malaria questions take place at the time of year when malaria risk is highest. You can also look at the chapter on malaria in the report and the parts of the questionnaire (included in an appendix) that refer to malaria.
