Following is a response from Senior DHS staff member, Tom Pullum:

If you are working with variables in the MR file, then you should weight with mv005. A variable in the PR file should be weighted with hv005. (A variable in the IR, KR, or BR files should be weighted with v005, and we recommend using mv005 as the weight in the CR file.) ALL variables should be weighted in order to obtain unbiased estimates of the population values.
