Following is a response from Senior DHS Specialist, Kerry MacQuarrie:
I believe you are referring to:
Kwagala, B, Johnstone G, and P Musimami. 2019. Disability, Partner Behaviors, and the Risk of Intimate Partner Violence in Uganda: Further Analysis of the 2016 Demographic and Health Survey. DHS Working Paper No. 150. Rockville, Maryland, USA: ICF. https://www.dhsprogram.com/pubs/pdf/WP150/WP150.pdf
This paper was written by one of the teams of scholars participating in a further analysis training and mentoring program for use of the 2016 Uganda DHS. While it was published by The DHS Program, the DHS Program did not directly conduct the analysis. If the methods section of the paper--and in particular, Figure 2--is insufficient to detail how the sample was derived, I suggest that you contact the corresponding author directly. Their contact information is listed on the title page of the working paper.
