Please see this other forum thread for some general information about the spatial dimensions of the enumeration areas (EAs) used for sampling http://userforum.dhsprogram.com/index.php?t=msg&th=57&am p;start=0&S=ec2d88b675abff3e49ca8eecb81d9c64. An EA can be a city block or apartment building in urban areas, while in rural areas it is typically a village or group of villages.
