In the household questionnaire, Q137, an item should be added to the list of possible responses "No Specific place for hand-washing... 5".
In households were there is no specifc place for hand washing, a simple question can be asked: "Do members of your household usually wash their with soap or detergent?"
List of responses: Yes, Non
For all households, the following question should be added right after Q139:
"When or at occasions members of your household usually wash their hand with saop/detergent?
List of possible responses :
Before eating
After defecation
After cleaning a child after defaction
Other
Don't usually wash hand with soap
