Dear DHS team and colleagues,
I am doing a study on the determinants of HIV seropositivity among women in Malawi using the MDHS 2010.My outcome variable is mothers HIV test result which would be expressed as a dichotomus variable (Positive or other). My first question is can the individual recode dataset be well suited for my study? I also came across the variable s1317 in the same dataset. Is it okey to use this variable as the outcome variable(HIV SEROPOSITIVITY)? Your assistance will be highly appreciated.

Thanks,
Rose
