Following is a response from Senior DHS Stata Specialist, Tom Pullum:
Have you tried to replicate this table? It should not make any difference whether you use the KR file or the BR file. All the children in the KR file are also in the BR file. For children who are in the BR file but not in the KR file, the child health variables are present but are coded "." for "not applicable". Thus it is more efficient to use the KR file but you will get the same results for the child health variables if you use the BR file. But note that if a variable for children under five is collected in the household survey, for example the height and weight measurements, then you will get all children if you use the PR file, but you will reduce it to children whose mother is in the household if you use the KR or BR files.
