Following is a response from Senior DHS Stata Specialist, Tom Pullum:

I do not find what you stated you found. The following lines of Stata output come from the PR file for this survey, NMPR61FL.dta. It's my guess that you are not working off of the PR file, but off some constructed file that has an unsuccessful merge with IR and MR data, or something similar. To repeat: in the PR file, ha40 is only defined for women, hb40 is only defined for men, and I believe the same is true for all other ha and hb variables--as should be the case.
