Hi,

I want to find out what the code "O" stand for in the Ethiopian 2011 calendar data in terms of a contraceptive method. I have read the record manual on page 74 and "O" is not defined.

Also, the 2008 Kenya DHS has a code "?" in the calendar data which isn't defined. I would like to know what they all stand for.

Thanks
Peter

Dear User,
For Ethiopia DHS 2011 are you referring to the letter "O" or the number zero "0"? If referring to the number 0, the respondent is "not using" a method. If the letter "O" is what you are referring to, the respondent using the "standard days" method.

For Kenya 2008 the ? indicates the data is missing
Thank you!

Thank you Liz, I meant "O".
Similarly, In the 2010 Rwanda DHS, there is a code "D" in the calendar that i can't understand what it means.

Any help on this?

Dear User,
For Rwanda DHS 2010, the "D" would be for Standard Days Method.
Thank you!
