I am using the 2003/04 Tanzania HIV/AIDS Indicator Survey, the 2007/08 Tanzania AIDS Indicator Survey (AIS) and the 2011/12 AIS.

1. I want to do an individual level analysis but there are no couples recode (CR) files, or male recode (MR) files for these surveys.

One way to match the partners is to create one file with women and their test results, one with men and their test results, then match the two files. In a paper entitled "Discordant Couples and HIV/AIDS Transmission in Five African Countries", Damien de Walque states that he did this based on instructions from measuredhs. Would it be possible to get the instructions on how to match couples?
