Hi,

In the Guinea DHS 2012 factor weight file, there are three variables that appear to be the floor, roof and wall material variables before they were converted to binary variable (the categorical variables have been used as they are). The mean for 'Main floor material' in the Excel file is given as 23.67 which I think is the mean of the variable HV213 where the various options are coded 11 to 96.

It would be great to know if this is an error and whether we can use these factor weights.

Thanks,

Kenzo

The wealth index data for Guinea DHS 2012 has been revised to fix the problem found and a new version of the recode datasets has been released, as well as an errata for the final report.
