how can i select children of mothers that born 1 and 2 years before the survey?

On the birth recode there's a variable for date of survey. Use this to create a variable that's the difference between the child's birthdate and the date of survey (in my experience these have always been in months - but I'm not sure that this is universally coded this way). Then you can use that variable to restrict calculation to less than or equal to 12 or 24 months.

Could someone confirm precisely how to compute the survival time is days for neonatal mortality.
