Dear Forum Users,

I am working with the Village Survey: NFHS-2 (1998-99) for India. The survey asks a question on any epidemic that occurred in the village in the past year. The variable that this question corresponds to in the data set is v21a & v21b. There is no code provided for this category in the questionnaire or the recode manuals. If anyone is aware of how to treat this variable, I would be glad to receive your help.
