Municipalities in Colombia 2000, 1995, and 1990 DHS [message #8849]

I would like to match the Colombian DHS from 2000, 1995, and 1990 with data from another data set at the municipality level. I see municipality was asked in the 1986, 2005, 2010 DHS and that municipality can be inferred from the GPS data in the 2010 DHS, but that municipalilty is not available in the surveys for the 2000, 1995, and 1990 data and the GPS data is not available.

Is there any internal data on municipality that could be shared? Or could the unshared GPS data be used to infer municipality?

I really really really appreciate your help.

At this time, we have no data on municipality classifications, as The DHS Program provided limited technical assistance for these surveys. There was no GPS data collected, so that method cannot be used to infer municipality classification.

You may try contacting the implementing agency to see if they have any information regarding these surveys; you can usually find their contact details in the front pages of the relevant report.
