I am analyzing the Ethiopia DHS data and I have combined the Women and HIV datasets.

Which weights should I use for tabulations: V005 or HIV05?

Here is a reply from one of our DHS experts Guillermo Rojas:

Any analysis conducted with HIV data should use the HIV weight (HIV05/1000000). The reason is because the HIV weight incorporates the adjustment for HIV non-response.

Hello,

I'm also working with the individual women's and HIV datasets. Are you using Stata? If so, can you provide me with the steps you took to combine the two?
