Dear Sir,

Please i am using the children's file on Ghana DHS 2014 and i treated all do not know responses as missing values.

However when i compare the percentages for all the immunization variables i see a difference between them and those reported in the 2014 Ghana DHS Whether using key indicators or full report.

The same applies to variables like vitamin A, iron supplements,Deworming and ITN, health provider or facility as a first source of care for fevers and health status variables like fever, cough. For Anemia i think i understand because i was told the variable in the report is from the household data and not kr.

Best regards,

Mustapha Immurana

Dear User,
Are you using weighted or unweighted data? Most of the tables in our final reports show the weighted results. You may also want to take a look at The Guide to DHS Statistics which can be downloaded from our website http:// www.dhsprogram.com/publications/publication-dhsg1-dhs-questi onnaires-and-manuals.cfm Page 109 goes over Vaccination Rates and how the calculations are done. You may also want to review the section on our website about Using Data for Analysis http://www.dhsprogram.com/data/Using-Datasets-for-Analysis.c fm. The Standard Recode Manual is another valuable resource http:// www.dhsprogram.com/publications/publication-DHSG4-DHS-Questi onnaires-and-Manuals.cfm
The KIR file is fine for analyzing vaccination data for children. You may also want to check out this post http:// userforum.dhsprogram.com/index.php?t=msg&th=4425&got o=8435&S=eb3afd6862234f02e7c9fe9f3d94153f#msg_8435
Thank you!
