Serosurveillance has been proposed as a means of monitoring vaccination coverage, but there are limitations in the approach, and many complications in the implementation. The attached paper provides a summary of many of the issues.
DHS currently has limited experience with the use of serosurveillance for monitoring vaccination coverage. Under what conditions and for what reasons is it recommended and appropriate to use serosurveillance for monitoring of vaccination coverage, and when would it not be recommended?
