Hello,
I am currently working with the couples recode of the DV data set.I just realized that the data on alcohol consumption and frequency of misuse is missing in the couples recode for Cameroun and Congo but available in their respective individual recodes. Is there an available formula for calculating the responses for the couple recode based on the individual recode or will it be appropriate to use the responses from the individual recode as it is.I am interested in alcohol misuse and DV in couples currently married or cohabiting.

Here is an answer from one of our experts, Noureddine Abderrahim:
In Cameroon 2011 the question on alcohol consumption is not asked. For Congo DR , it is asked and exists in the couple's files under V835A, B, and C and MV835A, B, and C.

The only questions for the Ghana DHS 2014 which mention anything about alcohol are the following:
