I'm interested in exploring contraceptive use at last sex. I know that DHS core women's questionnaires have not included questions that would allow me to measure contraceptive use at last sex (except in the case of condoms)... but, I'm guessing that there have been some DHS that have included relevant questions in response to country-specific asks. Could you direct me to which, if any, DHS include these data? Many, many thanks!

Dear User,
I don't recall a specific question about method used at last sex, except for condom as you mentioned. I've looked at a lot of country questionnaires. The current phase model questionnaires have the following question Q309: Quote:
Since what month and year have you been using (CURRENT METHOD) without stopping? PROBE: For how long have you been using (CURRENT METHOD) now without stopping?
In the previous phase is was Q308A. Would something like that work for you? You can also look at the calendar data where applicable to see the method currently being used unless the woman is pregnant. Do you know of a specific survey where it was asked directly related to last sex?
Thank you!
