Hi
I am using DHS data from 8 different countries ( both 2007 and 2013 data) and using the child recode file for analysis. I would please like to know how to apply sampling weight using STATA version 13. I am using the wealth index, educational level and DPT3 variables. I cannot find the exact command from any DHS file. I would be very grateful if anyone answered my inquiry.

MissJibo,
See the help file for -svyset- here: http://www.stata.com/help.cgi?svyset or type help svyset in your command window for documentation on the -svyset- command and how to apply weights, clusters, etc. to your estimates.

For more in-depth discussion on analyzing survey data in Stata, see the Stata Survey Data manual: http://www.stata.com/manuals13/svy.pdf

hth,
RHS

Note that if you are pooling data from several countries, you will need to de-normalize the weights. How to do this is discussed in the following thread: http://userforum.dhsprogram.com/index.php?t=msg&th=982&a mp;goto=2032&S=ee7daaf64f6e1a50d26d8f9bc002826a#msg_2032
