Hi,

I am currently doing a project that requires knowing which district a survey participant lived in. I see that in the 2006 Nepal DHS survey the district names are included in the district variable, but in the 2011 survey, only numbers are listed. Would it be possible to get a list that indicates which district number corresponds to which district for the 2011 survey? I see that these lists have been provided for other countries within the forum.

Thank you very much,
Kim

Hi,
I sent an email to the above email address on the 19th of August but have not got a response. Would DHS staff be able to help connect with them or obtain the 2011 district information and forward it to me/us? I would really appreciate it.

Thank you,
Hsharma

Dear DHS-Team,

can you please confirm that the district numbers from 1-75 (variable sdistr) from the 2001 Survey also correspond to this list?

Thank you very much!
Best,
David

Following is response from DHS Research & Data Analysis Director, Tom Pullum:

We have confirmed that the district codes and labels are the same for the 2001 survey and all subsequent surveys in Nepal. For the current survey there will be 77 districts, because two districts have split, but the final report and the labels in the data files will provide complete documentation.
