Dear DHS Team,
I am currently writing my Master Thesis, using the 'DHS special' data for 'Adolescent Reproductive Health' from 2012, Indonesia. I tried to recode the variables, but the DHS VI recode manual is not applicable.
I need urgent help: How can I recode the variable names from the dataset? How can I find out, what variable in the dataset means what?
I am using the STATA file in R.
Thanks a lot for your help!

Dear User,
Here is a response from one of experts, Ms. Mianmian Yu,
Quote:
Each variable's name corresponds to the question number in the young adults' questionnaires, which can be found in the young adults' report. 'Y' means the question on the individual level, 'H' means the question on the household level. For example, AY110 is from the question #110 from the individual questionnaire, AH05 is from the question #5 in the household questionnaire.
The data are separate from our DHS standard recode and specially collected from 2012 Indonesia DHS. Therefore, DHS recode manual doesn't include their information.
