I am currently working with the 1996 DHS Tanzania survey. The variable S117 in the women's file contains numbers indicating different tribes. Is there any way to have access to the name of the tribes those numbers represent?

The labels for "Tribes" reported in country-specific variables S117 (Women) and SM119 (Men) exist in a Word Document (TZIR3A.DOC) that you can find in the zip file you downloaded.
