I am working with NFHS-5 microdata and am trying to identify individual-level anthropometric variables for men, specifically height, weight, or BMI, comparable to women's BMI variable (v445).

So far, I have checked the following:

Men's Recode (MR file) for standard variables related to

BMI (no mv445 or equivalent found)

Individual weight (kg)

Individual height (cm)

NFHS-5 metadata and DHS Recode Manual for male anthropometry variables under men-specific prefixes (mv, hb, sm)

Whether men's anthropometry might be stored in other recode files (PR / HR or any special module)

I have not been able to identify a consistent, individual-level height, weight, or BMI variable for men in NFHS-5.

Could anyone who has worked with NFHS-5 confirm:

whether men's individual anthropometry is available, and

if so, in which file and under which variable names?
