I've downloaded what I assume to be all potential data files for the NFHS4, but I'm unable to find preschool attendance variables in any of the data files.

Checking the public documentation for the NFHS surveys, I'm wondering if this might be due to how variables are recoded/released for the data files. All variables from the women's survey codebook might not be released publicly, and they do rename the variables from what they are labeled as in the initial questionnaire documents (e.g., variable 559, which is what the preschool variable is in the original questionnaire, may have received a new coding scheme/name entirely in the released files and is not present in the files we have).

Has anyone located this variable/knows which data file I should be downloading/analyzing for this? Here is the full item text that I am trying to find:

S559: Frequency child went to anganwadi/ICDS centre

In teh last 12 months, how often did (NAME) go tot eh anganwadi/ICDS centre for early childhood care or for preschool: regularly, occasionally, or not at all?
