Thank you for submitting your question. Could you please provide some more detailed information so we can better advise you?
Can you let us know:
• Which survey you are using (Include country name and year)?
• Which data files you are referring to?
• Which software you are using (Stata, SPSS, R, etc.)?
If you are trying to match a Table in a final report, please also indicate which table and which estimate you are trying to match.

Hello
Thank you for your feedback. I am studying the disparities in HIV prevention in Sub-Saharan African Countries, using the most recent survey in each country. However, I am not sure of which DHS file(s) to use. My target groups are Men who have sex with other men, female sex workers, adolecent girls and young women.
Though I was not sure of the dhs file to use, I downloaded the kr file upon given authorization from DHS. However, was notified to contact Botswana directly for the dataset.
Kindly advise me if the KR file is the appropriate file to use,
and
how to contact Botswana for the dataset.

STATA software will be used for the analysis
Thank you

Following is a response from DHS staff member, Tom Pullum:
DHS has not done surveys in Botswana. In the countries where we have done surveys, the data files are available from us (from our website). There is almost never a need to contact the implementing agency within the country.

We do collect information about HIV-related knowledge and behavior. Please look at https://www.dhsprogram.com/topics/HIV-Corner/index.cfm It may help to look at the final reports on some surveys (go to https://www.dhsprogram.com/search/ and look for Final Reports). Some relevant information is already on the Users Forum. Let us know if you need more help getting started.

Hello,

I have managed to follow your guidance and visited the suggested areas to check indicators which can help me. I am still having problems to locate the appropriate data for my study population. I even checked STATcompiler and the provided links in previous response but I did not manage to find indictors in relation to vulnerable population rather found general ones. So, I still need your guidance on where I can get indicators for vulnerable population such as Gay (MSM), Female Sex Workers (FSW), drug addicts, prisoners, adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) among others.
