Hello,

I wanted to ask whether it's possible to merge the NFHS clusters with GPS information across 2015-16 and 2019-21. The codes are different across the two rounds, but I was wondering if there any way to match these codes.

Following is a response from Senior DHS staff member, Tom Pullum:

The clusters in these two surveys are completely different. Cluster 1 in the NFHS-5, for example, is not the same as ANY of the clusters in the NFHS-4. All DHS surveys are completely independent of one another. The kind of matching you describe would be meaningless.
