Hi,

I am working on merging injury data with IR, MR, and PR files. Can you help me please.
I had merged injury file with PR 1:1 in STATA by generating a new variable. for instance for injury data: gen ID_new = hhid + "_" + string(haiidx) + "_" + string(hv003)

However, on merging the dataset on self-harm shows 72 counts instead of 86 (originally in injury dataset). Why is that so?

Please help me!

Thank you for submitting your question. Could you please provide some more detailed information so we can better advise you?
Can you let us know:
• Which survey you are using (Include country name and year)?
• Which data files you are referring to?
• Which software you are using (Stata, SPSS, R, etc.)?
If you are trying to match a Table in a final report, please also indicate which table and which estimate you are trying to match.

Hi Janet,

Thank you for replying.
I am using NP_2022_DHS dataset. I need your help combining NPAI82DT with NPPR82DT and NPIR82DT NPMR82DT. I combined AI with PR files. But found some missing data for self-harm.In AI files the varibale hai4 gives 86 self-harm cases. But combining with PR files it is reduced to 72. I don't know why.
Can you give the right code of combining AI files with PR< IR and MR dataset please.
I am using STATA and R for merging.

I want the data related to table 18.6

I also want to link the self-harm data to one question (Thoughts that you would be better off dead or of
hurting yourself in some way of PHQ-9.
