Hello,

I am working on estimating the desired fertility for men using the DHS data from Angola. However, the available microdata for men does not include birth history but does provide the ideal number of children and the age of the most recent child.

I am uncertain about how to begin estimating the desired fertility rate for men with these data.

Could you please provide some guidance on how to proceed with this estimation?
