Hello,
I'm starting to analyse the IR dataset 2022, and I am only interested in a set of variables that were asked in the long questionnaire. I can't seem to identify the variable to indicate the long/short questionnaire. I don't want to include the individuals that were not asked the questions I'm interested in. Or in alternative, is there a way to distinguish between N/A and missing data?
Thank you

Following is a response from Senior DHS staff member, Tom Pullum:

The variable you are looking for is "sshort" in the IR file. In the PR file, it is "shshort".

You can find the variable by opening the file and entering "lookfor short". Often the subsampling variables have bizarre names, but in this case, a very descriptive label was used!

Thank you very much for the help. I made a rookie mistake in that I only used the 'v' variables, as my Stata can't open the whole file!
Lesson learned :)
