Hi,
I'm seeking more details to accompany the reported prevalence and types of FGC from the Nigeria 2008 DHS (Table 18.1 of the report). For a start, I'd appreciate a clarification on how the denominator 9,890 was reached for the number of women circumcised? I have assumed that only women who said they had heard of FGC (including after probing) were ask if ever circumcised (but my output is 8464 (over 18605)).
Is there a document with more accompanying info at all on this report section?

Here is a response from one of our experts, Mr. Albert Themme:
The denominator is indeed based on G100 = 1 or G101 = 1, but was the 8464 maybe unweighted? In that case weight by: rweight = V005/1000000;
