	| I am working on the study of the determinants of sexual behaviors at risk of sexually transmitted infections among adolescents and young adults living in Côte d'Ivoire. I encounter a blockage concerning a variable that I cannot find. In the DSH 99 survey of Côte d'Ivoire, the multiple sexual partnership variable for men (mv763) is available, but it seems to be missing for women. Despite my extensive research, I was unable to locate it. I would be really grateful if you could help me find this variable for women. |

	| Following is a response from DHS staff member, Tom Pullum:
In the MR file for this survey, there is another variable that is an exact duplicate of mv763, namely mv853:
I don't know why both of them are included. The two variables have different labels but they are clearly the same.. correlate mv763 mv853
(obs=432)

             | mv763 mv853
-------------+------------------
       mv763 | 1.0000
       mv853 | 1.0000 1.0000
In the IR file, you are right that v763 is missing, BUT v853 is in the data. So v853 is what you are looking for.

These variables are used in the construction of tables 11.1.1 and 11.1.2.
