I have tried the same code but I get below error:

> library(foreign)
> df=read.spss("Downloads/IAIR7ESV/IAIR7EFL.SAV", to.data.frame = TRUE)

Error: vector memory limit of 16.0 Gb reached, see mem.maxVSize()
