Hello,
We are looking at the 2016 Uganda DHS data, specifically at IPV and disability. We are unable to reach the same sample size listed in the 2016 disability, partner behaviors, and intimate partner violence report, of 6879 currently and ever married women. We do however, reach the same amount of women who were interviewed for the DV module, 9232.
We are getting 7536 currently married and ever married women who were interviewed for the DV module.
Could someone please give guidance on how to reach the sampe sample size from the report, of 6879 currently and ever married women who were interviewed for the DV report?

DHS Working Paper No. 150. Rockville, Maryland, USA: ICF. https://www.dhsprogram.com/pubs/pdf/WP150/WP150.pdf
This paper was written by one of the teams of scholars participating in a further analysis training and mentoring program for use of the 2016 Uganda DHS. While it was published by The DHS Program, the DHS Program did not directly conduct the analysis. If the methods section of the paper--and in particular, Figure 2--is insufficient to detail how the sample was derived, I suggest that you contact the corresponding author directly. Their contact information is listed on the title page of the working paper.

Following is a response from Senior DHS staff member, Tom Pullum:
It appears that the disability data in the NFHS-5 were included in the HR file but not in the PR file. I have prepared a Stata program that puts them into a pseudo PR file, with identifiers hv001 hv002 hvidx. You can run this program and then merge the data into whatever other files you are using. Only about 25,000 individuals were reported to have a disability, a small fraction of the sample, but I hope you will be able to do something with them. There has been little analysis of the disability data in this survey.
