some socioeconomic independent variables I'm using are coming out as omitted after i run my analysis on stata like marital status. what socioeconomic variables can i use that wont give me any such errors?

Thank you for submitting your question. Could you please provide some more detailed information so we can better advise you?
Can you let us know:
• Which survey you are using (Include country name and year)?
• Which data files you are referring to?
• Which software you are using (Stata, SPSS, R, etc.)?
If you are trying to match a Table in a final report, please also indicate which table and which estimate you are trying to match.

Following is a response from DHS staff member, Tom Pullum:

You might look at this Further Analysis Report: Trends in Neonatal Mortality in Rwanda, 2000-2010 [FA88]https://dhsprogram.com/pubs/pdf/FA88/FA88.pdf. I would recommend logistic regression, as used in this report, although not necessarily the decomposition, which is a lot more work and harder to interpret.
