I want to merge MR data with PR data for Nepal 2022 Dhs but when I merge PR with hv001, hv002 and hb0 with MR mv001, mv002, mv003 by 1:1 relationship..this shows no observations. Why is that? When i use hvidx instead hb0, it merge but no biomarkers records come from PR file for men. Can anyone help me regarding this?

Following is a response from DHS staff member, Tom Pullum:
In this survey, the main biomarkers for adults were height/weight and blood pressure. In addition, hemoglobin concentration was measured for women.
A third of households were selected for interviews of men. Unfortunately, height/weight and blood pressure were not obtained during the household survey for men who were selected for interviews. If you enter "tab sheligbp hv118" and "tab sheligbm hv118" you will see that biomarker data were not collected for men who were eligible for the male interview (hv118=1).
So there is nothing wrong with your merge--the problem is that it is impossible, for men, to combine the biomarker data with the other data collected in the men's interview.
This design was intended to reduce the amount of time spent in the household, but unfortunately it has an effect on potential analyses. This is not an issue for women, because they were not subsampled in the same way as men.
