I am currently working on MDD indicator for 6-23-month-old children in India using the NFHS 5 (2019-21) dataset (Kids file). I am trying to match the percentage of children with MDD with the national report. I am able to reach nearby numbers but not exact numbers. I have followed with the notes mentioned below tables 10.10 and 10.11.
I am also calculating the indicator for the Maharashtra state (V024=27) using the same dataset. I am facing the same problem here, especially with BF children.
I have also noticed that the percentage of BF children with MDD in Maharashtra is mentioned as 17.6% in the national report (table 10.11) and as 33.6% in the state report (table 71). I would like to know the logic behind these different percentages of the same indicator in the national and state report.
I have followed previous discussions on this topic. I have also followed up on the codes mentioned with this link - https://userforum.dhsprogram.com/index.php?t=msg&th=7160 &goto=15458&#msg_15458. I have also applied state weight (sweight) while calculating for the state. But still facing issues with the matching numbers.
I would be really grateful if you could help me with this. Waiting for your reply.
Thank you,
Regards,
Mayura
