Dear all DHS users,

I'm currently facing a problem with Kenyan districts. I want to know what are the name of each of the district given in the 2008-09 DHS survey (the base is called KEIR52FL). There's just the code, from 1 to 18 districts but I do not know where to find the name of them.

Could you please help me?

Thanks a lot in advance.

I have got the exact same problem. Working on my thesis on polygyny and preferred family size right now. There doesn't seem any country-specific codebook, but I might have overlooked it as I find the website difficult to sift through.

If anyone has an answer, it would be greatly appreciated.

Just for clarity: Are we talking about V001, the cluster number variable? From the codebook, that is the only one I took to be a regional identifier, but those are way more than 18 in my 2003 data set.
