I was working on Kenya 2003 data and found three variables, SH50 (Consent of parent/guardian for HIV testing), SH51 (Individual consent for HIV testing),SH52 (Result of DBS sample) in the household member datafile. However, I have not been able to find these variables in the Kenya 2008 dataset. Are these variables available in the Kenya 2008 dataset? i would be extremely grateful if you could let me know.

The "SH" variables are specific to that survey. Even if the same questions were asked in 2008, the variable names will most likely not be the same. For country specific questions, the variables are generally named and coded in the same way as they were on the questionnaire. The variable will have a leading "SH" if the question was asked at the household level, a leading "S" if asked at the women's level, and a leading "SM" if asked at the men's level.
Please reference the questionnaires for the 2008 survey to see if these questions were asked.
