I am analysing complex survey data in stata (BURUNDI 2016 2017). Tests like lrtest, AIC or BIC are not supported by svy with stata and thus I could not use any of these to compare successive models for improvment. I have read about using the wald test. Is something available to test the overall model and so be able to compare successive models? I would really appreciate if someone out there could suggest a way out...
Best regard's

Following is a response from DHS staff member, Tom Pullum:

This is not really an appropriate question for the DHS forum, but you can do an approximate Wald test using the change in -2 times the log likelihood, if the log likelihood is given in the saved results. Under the null hypothesis, this difference should have a chi-square distribution with df equal to the difference in df between the two (nested) models. A potential issue is that some of these complex models are not actually fitted by maximum likelihood. Just a suggestion....

Hello
I am intended to use vitamin A and iron related data during pregnancy in BDHS KR file. s457a indicates mother received vitamin A, can I use it in case of pregnancy? or are there any variable number from which I can obtain the vitamin A data during pregnancy?

Thank you for submitting your question. Could you please provide some more detailed information so we can better advise you?
Can you let us know:
• Which survey you are using (Include country name and year)?
• Which data files you are referring to?
• Which software you are using (Stata, SPSS, R, etc.)?
If you are trying to match a Table in a final report, please also indicate which table and which estimate you are trying to match.
