Respected Sir/ Madam,
I, Dr. Vivek Verma, am a faculty in Dept. of Statistics, Assam Univ., Assam, India. For one of my
research works, I am using the DHS data (NFHS-4) of India women (IAKR71FL)-2015-16, where the variable M1 denoting "Number of tetanus injections before birth" is ranging from -11 to 11 (attached image). Could you please explain the meaning of negative Number of tetanus injections before birth.
This will of great help for me.
Thanks and Regards,
Dr. Vivek Verma

Following is a response from Senior DHS staff member, Fred Arnold:
The early files from that survey had some errors. We are now on version 4. When I open IAKR74FL.dta, I get a much more plausible distribution of m1. It must have been one of the variables that was corrected. You should be able to access the "74" versions of the files from the website.
Sorry about the inconvenience and thanks for using DHS data.
