UGANDA 2006 DHS: men's height [message #26598]

I am studying men's heights in DHS surveys.
I saw in your STATCOMPILER module that the Uganda 2006 DHS has data on men's heights.

However, when I looked at the Uganda 2006 files (PR file and MR file) I did not find the corresponding individual data (variables HB0 HB41 are all empty)

Is there any way to retrieve these data? Are they in restricted access?

Following is a response from DHS staff member, Tom Pullum:

Hi Michel! When men's weights and heights are measured, they are included in the PR file as hb2 and hb3, respectively. (For children the variables are hc2 and hc3; for women they are ha2 and ha3.) I do find these variables, with data, in UGPR52FL.dta, for men age 15-54. I don't see (in the MR file) that BMI was constructed for men, but you would be able to construct it. Thanks for continuing to use DHS data!

Dear Tom,
Thanks for your reply. I downloaded the new version UGPR52FL, and I found the information.
I was using an older file UGPR50FL (from 13/08/2007)
This is why I could not find Weight & Height for men...
