The NFHS-5 questionnaires do not have the information on TB expenditures that you are looking for. The household questionnaire has three questions on TB for every person in the household. Q28 asks "Does any usual resident of your household including you suffer from tuberculosis." Q29 asks for the line number in the Household Schedule of each person with TB. For each person with TB, Q30 asks "Has (NAME) received medical treatment for the tuberculosis?" and if so, "Where did (NAME) go? The response categories for Q30 are YES, PUBLIC ONLY, YES; PRIVATE ONLY; YES, BOTH; AND NO. There is not any information on how much was spent for the medical treatment.
Both the man's questionnaire (Questions 623-626) and the woman's questionnaire (Questions 724-727) have some general questions about the respondent's knowledge of tuberculosis, but there is no information about whether the person has or ever had TB.
The questions that you are trying to use from the woman's questionnaire also do not provide the information that you want. The questions only ask about children who were born in the last three years. For those children, the questions only ask about those children who had a fever or fast, short, rapid breaths, or difficult breathing at any time in the last two weeks. Those symptoms do not indicate in any way whether or not the child had tuberculosis. Even for children with those symptoms, there is no information on expenditures for advice or treatment. In short, the information you are seeking is not available anywhere in NFHS-5, so you will have to look elsewhere.
