Following is a response from DHS staff member Tom Pullum:

I think the best way to do what you want is to use the couples file, BJCR71FL.dta. It is a merge of women and men in the same household who mutually identify each other as partners, and it includes all of the DV ("d") variables. Let us know if this not what you are looking for.
