Hi there,

I'm using the senegal DHS datasets but need indicators to be stratified by region (from 2010 onwards the 14 administrative regions). From the information available in the Sénégal Enquête Continue Cinquième Phase 2017 Rapport de synthèse the only studies that are representative at the regional level are 2010 and 2017. But that data can be aggregated from the 2012-2013 and 2014 surveys and also the 2015 and 2016 surveys to provide results at the regional level.

The footnotes section from the API request for SN surveys returns the following for the 2014 and 2016 datasets
Footnote 2014 survey:
# [3] "Each zip file includes two datasets: SNxx70xx.xxx for the 2014 survey alone.
# SNxx6Rxx.xxx for the combined 2012-13/2014 surveys used to produce subnational regional results.
# Individual questionnaire data for men were only collected in the 2014 survey."

Footnote 2016 survey:
# [5] "Each zip file includes two datasets: SNxx7Ixx.xxx for the 2016 survey alone.
# SNxxG0xx.xxx for the combined 2015/2016 surveys."

However I haven't been able to locate these combined datasets.

Is it possible to check if these datasets are available as listed? Or any methodology for aggregating the raw datasets to produce a dataset representative at the regional level?

Thanks,
Hayley
