I am using the children file (KR) and when exactly should I am using voo5 as weight. But for which variables should I use sweight as weight? What is the difference between the two ?This is not mentioned in the recode too.

Following is a response from DHS staff member Tom Pullum:

The state weights (sweight) should only be used when you are analyzing a specific state. Otherwise, use v005. But if you are analyzing a specific state, you will actually get exactly the same means, percentages, standard errors, etc., with v005 or sweight. Virtually no surveys other than those in India include regional weights, for the simple reason that they are not needed.
