Hi,

I'm trying to include village level characteristics such as distance to health facilities etc. I'm facing the following problems:

1. For DHS 1992-93, and 1998-99, these information are available in SQ and VR files respectively. I tried to merge these with respective HR file and found HR file does not have village level identifiers. The lowest unit I found was tehsil given by stehsil. Is there any way to merge HR and village files at the village level?

2. For DHS 2005-06,2015-16, 2019-21, there is no separate village file. Is there any way to access village level characteristics for these rounds? I went through [url=https://userforum.dhsprogram.com/index.php?t=msg&th =11882&#msg_24884]this[/url] thread on village level characteristics where Tom Pullum mentions use of geographic covariates data file. However, on the DHS website, the links for the geographic datasets are not live.

Would appreciate any help in this regard,
