Hi everyone,

I am new to the DHS data analysis and I wanted to use "HC 72 (Weight/Height standard deviation (new WHO))" from DHS Sierra Leone 2019.

Could anyone please help me understand why we have HC72_1 up to HC 72_7?
The screenshot is attached for that.

What are the differences and which one do you recommend using for the analysis?

Following is response from DHS Research & Data Analysis Director, Tom Pullum:

The subscript is _1 for the most recent birth, _2 for the next most recent birth, etc. It will be easier to analyze the data if you use hw72 in the KR file (in which the cases are children born in the past five years) or hc72 in the PR file (in which the cases are household members).
